Privacy Policy
Who we are
Follow Your Dreams Tours ("we", "us", "our") is a tour operator based in Watamu, Kilifi County, Kenya. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why, and how you can control it. Contact: followyourdreamstours@gmail.com · +254 117 880 363.
What we collect
- Contact details you give us: when you use our Contact form or Plan My Trip wizard, we collect your name and at least one way to reach you (email and/or phone), plus any message or trip details you share (dates, group size, interests, budget).
- Automatically collected details: your approximate country and city (from your network location, not GPS), the language you're browsing in, and which page or marketing link brought you to the site.
- Analytics data: only if you accept cookies via our cookie banner, we use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site, including session recordings and heatmaps. See our Cookie Policy below for full details.
Why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare a tailored quote.
- To understand which of our marketing channels work, so we can keep the site useful and relevant.
- To improve the site's usability and content, where you've consented to analytics.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making, and we never sell your data.
Where it's stored
Your enquiry details are stored in our booking database, hosted in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany) by our database provider, Supabase. Access is restricted to our own team.
Who we share it with
- Black Marlin Diving Center, our long-standing diving partner, only where necessary to arrange a diving booking on your behalf.
- Google and Microsoft, only if you've accepted analytics cookies.
We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for as long as necessary to respond to you and for our own business record-keeping, after which they are deleted or anonymized. For confirmed bookings, we keep records for 7 years, in line with standard financial record-keeping practice.
Your rights
Under Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019, and (where applicable) the EU General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to: ask what personal data we hold about you; ask us to correct or delete it; object to or restrict certain uses; withdraw analytics consent at any time. To exercise any of these, contact us at followyourdreamstours@gmail.com. If you're not satisfied with our response, you may also contact Kenya's Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC).
Children
This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version always applies to this website.

Terms & Conditions
About these terms
These terms apply to any safari, diving, excursion, transfer or other travel arrangement ("Booking") made with Follow Your Dreams Tours ("we", "us"). By making a Booking with us, you accept these terms.
How booking works
We publish indicative prices on our Safaris, Diving, Excursions and Transfers pages, but the final amount depends on your exact dates, group size and preferences. You tell us these via our Contact form, Plan My Trip wizard or WhatsApp; we reply with a tailored, itemised quote. A Booking is confirmed only once you've accepted the quote and paid the required deposit.
Payment
A deposit of 40% of the total price is required to confirm your Booking. The remaining balance is due 60 days before your trip starts; if you book within 60 days of departure, full payment is required to confirm. We accept payment by bank transfer:
- Bank: NCBA Bank Plc, Watamu branch
- Bank code: 07 · Branch code: 147
- SWIFT/BIC: CBAFKENX
- Account name: FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS TOURS
- KES account: 1012170727
- USD account: 1012170735
We'll confirm the correct account and currency to use in your quote. Alongside bank transfer, we may also send a secure payment link (via Pesapal or Paystack) for you to pay your deposit by card or mobile money.
Cancellations & refunds
Your deposit is non-refundable once a Booking is confirmed it's what lets us hold your dates and start arranging things on the ground. Beyond that, how much of the rest you get back depends on how close to travel you cancel (unless a specific experience's quote states otherwise):
- 60 days or more before travel: only your deposit is forfeited; everything else you've paid is refunded in full (minus any third-party transfer fees).
- 30–59 days before travel: 50% of the total price is refunded, up to what you've paid beyond your deposit.
- 15–29 days before travel: 30% of the total price is refunded, up to what you've paid beyond your deposit.
- Less than 15 days before travel, or no-show: non-refundable.
Flights, park fees & specialist accommodation
A few parts of your trip work differently because we commit to them, non-refundably, on your behalf the moment we book them: domestic and fly-in flight sectors (including coastal flights to the Maasai Mara), and certain premium camps and lodges, are non-refundable and non-changeable from the moment your Booking is confirmed. Kenya Wildlife Service and marine/conservancy park fees follow the refund rules set by those authorities, which we don't control and which may also be non-refundable. We'll always flag anything in this category clearly before you commit to it.
Diving & marine excursions
Diving and dhow excursions depend on the ocean. If a dive or excursion is cancelled by us or our partners (including Black Marlin Diving Center) for safety, weather or mechanical reasons, we'll offer you an alternative date or a full refund for that part of your trip. If you cancel a dive or excursion yourself within 24 hours of the scheduled time, that portion isn't refundable by then we've already held the slot on your behalf.
Future Travel Credit
We're building this business one traveller at a time, and a cancellation doesn't have to be a dead end. If you cancel 60 days or more before travel, you can choose to convert your forfeited deposit into a Future Travel Credit instead of losing it outright. It's worth 100% of your deposit, valid for 24 months from your original travel date, can be used toward any future safari, dive or excursion with us, and you're welcome to pass it on to a friend or family member if you won't use it yourself.
Travel insurance
Because we commit to lodges, transport and specialist activities on your behalf well ahead of your trip, we ask every guest to arrive with comprehensive international travel insurance in place including trip cancellation, trip interruption, emergency medical evacuation, and cover for activities like scuba diving. It's what protects you if something outside anyone's control comes up before or during your trip.
Changes we may need to make
Occasionally we may need to adjust an itinerary, park, lodge or timing due to weather, safety, park regulations, or availability beyond our control. We'll always aim to offer an equivalent alternative and keep you informed.
Wildlife & activities
Wildlife sightings on safari are never guaranteed. We keep expectations honest, and every experience still rewards you with the landscape and setting itself. Diving, snorkelling, safari game drives and other activities carry inherent risks; by taking part, you accept these risks. Please follow your guide's or instructor's safety instructions at all times.
Third-party suppliers
Some parts of your trip are provided by third-party suppliers: diving (with Black Marlin Diving Center), lodges, tented camps, and certain transfers. We select partners carefully and coordinate your booking with them, but we act as your booking agent for these services; the supplier's own terms and liability apply to the service they provide.
Travel documents
You are responsible for ensuring you hold a valid passport, any required visas, and appropriate travel insurance for your trip. We're happy to advise, but final responsibility for your documents rests with you.
Force majeure
We are not liable for delays, changes or cancellations caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, natural disasters, civil unrest, government action, or pandemics.
Liability
To the extent permitted by Kenyan law, our liability is limited to the value of the Booking. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for the acts of third-party suppliers.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Kenyan courts.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force at the time of your Booking applies to that Booking.
